The Opportunity
The medical and life sciences sector is Dolmen's fastest-growing sector and as a result, they are looking to significantly grow their team in Dublin. They need a Senior Medical Device Designer! Dolmen is a team where design is at the cadre of who they are, non but the job that they practise.

Responsibilities
- Working with the senior artistic squad to interpret client requirements while developing innovative new product propositions using a range of ideation techniques.
- Developing engaging concept visuals using a combination of traditional sketching, soft modeling and loftier-end digital visualization tools.
- (Senior) Managing squad projects and customer liaison/customer service in conjunction with the Medical Director. Working closely with the Medical Director to grow the customer base of operations.
- (Mid-Level) Accompanying the senior squad to customer presentations and project reviews and helping to maintain our loftier standard of customer service during all customer contact.
- Following through on selected pattern concepts by using 3D CAD tools to develop models, exam rigs and fully working prototypes.
- Working with clients and supply chain partners to ensure pattern intent is maintained throughout the procedure as successful product concepts are transitioned through to product.
Requirements
- Recognized degree level qualification in either Industrial, Product or Medical Device Blueprint.
- 5 – 10 years (Senior) / 3 – v Mid-Level) years of medical product evolution experience, preferably in a consultancy surroundings.
- Working knowledge and experience of ISO13485
- Excellent communication skills, including exact, written and in person.
- Ability to communicate rapidly and effectively through fast, fluid sketching.
- Proficiency in the use of 2D and 3D design and visualization software. Preferably including experience in the use of Creo/SolidWorks and Keyshot.
- Ability to work as part of a flexible, dynamic squad, while taking responsibleness for individual tasks.
- An enquiring mind with an belittling approach to trouble-solving and an ability to visualize simple solutions to complex bug.
- A solid understanding of how things work, with an obsessive desire to make things work better.
